Organizations are tapping into creativity instead of dismay as they channel energy and investment into novel solutions. They are asking themselves, “What’s the job to be done? What assets do we have at our disposal? What partners do we need?”
The next normal value driver isn’t a re-trend. It’s being created anew. Right now. In real-time.
Here are two examples:
- United CleanPlus – United Airlines unveiled their new standard of cleanliness and safety in partnership with Clorox and Cleveland Clinic. Brand names bring expertise and reputational capital to create what’s next. A safe experience “from lobby to landing.” This is a timely example of industry leadership and first-mover advantage.
- Donate to CPR – Help Feed Colorado – Colorado Public Radio teamed up with The Colorado Health Foundation and Feeding Colorado, a consortium of food banks, to create a win-win fundraising drive. Dollars contributed to CPR were matched by the foundation in the form of donated meals.
Each example above embodies the idea that one plus one is greater than two. Unique assets and complementary expertise come together to achieve something otherwise unattainable. Along the way, they reinforce differentiation in the marketplace.
